Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. Her birthplace was Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her ancestry is Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen's talents for performing were recognized at an early age. In 1992, she attended her first audition, and was able to win an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was cast as a model in advertisements on television and newspapers. In addition to learning in private classes, she began her acting career at that time. Bell was in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a part of the drama and musical clubs at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she won the part as Dorothy. Bell was a student at an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell left the university in 2001 and began playing the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. That same year, she was in Pootie Tang However, the scene in which Bell played the role was removed. This meant that only her credit sequence exists. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell made an appearance on the Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
